Our Boarding Facilities are State of The Art
Our “Canine Campers” can relax indoors in a heated
& air conditioned, private room or they may choose to do some sunbathing
or bird watching on their adjoining outdoor patio.
Each camper is given two potty walks and
two cookie breaks each day. Additional
activities are available.
Your pet’s meals will be provided.
We serve Iams MiniChunks.
You may bring your pet’s own food from home, if you prefer.
We have a refrigerator and microwave and will be happy to prepare your
pet’s meals according to your instructions, at no extra charge.
If you bring meat for your pet's meals, please pre-cook it.
You may wish to bring your pet’s favorite toys
and maybe an old worn T-shirt. Slocum
Ridge provides clean blankets or rugs for your pet’s comfort.
Please do not bring any bedding that can not be washed in hot water,
with bleach, in
a normal size washing machine. No Battery operated toys.
We can not be responsible for items lost, chewed, or eaten.
Regular
sized rooms are about 3’ x 4’ with a
3’ x 10’ patio for a combined living space of about 42 square feet.
Large sized rooms are about 5’ x 4’ with a
5’ x 10’ patio for a combined living space of about 70 square feet.
Pet rooms are cleaned
daily, and pet bedding is washed or replaced as needed. Pet rooms and
bedding are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each pet departs the
facility.
We
require proof of your pet's yearly vaccinations against Distemper, Parvo
Virus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Please make sure your pet's vaccinations
are current, and provide us with a copy of the vaccination records. If
you wish, you may have your veterinarian's office fax your pet's vaccination
records to us prior to your arrival. Our Fax # is 256 492-5000.
We
work diligently to maintain a "flea free" environment. Please
make sure your pet is free of fleas & ticks before you bring him to
camp. If your pet arrives with fleas or ticks he may be refused at
check in. We strongly recommend monthly application of
Frontline!
