HBHS Class of 1965
Hokes Bluff High
School - Sept 16th & 17th, 2005
40th Year Reunion & Photo's
Members of the Class of
1965 meet at the old grammar/high school lunchroom on Sept 16th for the
traditional before the game meal at 4:30. After enjoying the
spaghetti meal, all the classmates walked down memory lane by taking a
tour of the old high school to see all the murals and photo's of past
graduating classes. At 6:30 all the football players that were
available to attend joined together under the direction of Garry Young
to celebrate the only untied and undefeated football team in the history
of Hokes Bluff High School. A list of the folks who were present are in
the photo's below - enjoy.

HBHS - Sept 17th, 2005 -
40th Year - 1965 Class Reunion
According
to Sandra Kuykendall Beavers, the reunion was scheduled to start at 4pm
and last until 8pm. At 4pm, when Debbie and I arrived, Sandra and
her husband were the only ones present except for the folks cooking the
really great smelling BBQ out back. By 5:15pm the majority of the
classmates attending had arrived and were greeting each other. The
reunion was well organized, beautifully decorated, appetite pleasing and
had plenty of time to make rounds meeting and greeting each other.
There were a total of 41( 22 female,19 male) classmates present.
Bobby Croft had received money from four other classmates who for one
reason or another, were not able to attend. After James Hayes
offered prayer for the enjoyable BBQ meal, everyone lined up for the
buffet. Once everyone was satisfied, Johnny Duncan introduced
himself, thanked everyone for attending and made a few announcements.
Bobby Croft and Garry Young also made several comments before everyone
started mingling with each other. Laughter was heard, cameras were
flashing and no one seemed to leave before it was over.
